L'ARMOIRE À PAIN
After a semi-bucolic stroll along the new avenue Jeanne-d'Arc, a pause is necessary in this bakery located at the end of the alley. There is bread galore in this cupboard, with more or less intriguing names: baguette du roi René, pavé Mado or ardéchois, ficelle du Maine, pain de 4 sous, tourte aux alouettes, auvergnate, pain de Dorian... the last five are moreover made with flour from organic farming, the Armoire à pain having a nice range in this field... In addition to the breads, the pastries and pastries are worth the detour, whether they are traditional (croissant, fruit tarts) or more original (soft pistachio-raspberry, Anjou cake mixing with almond powder and Cointreau). A little hungry at lunchtime? The place also concocts excellent sandwiches and quiches, served invariably with the same smile and the same good mood.
