Vertou's Parc de la Sèvre is the emblem of one of the greenest towns in the conurbation, offering a peaceful riverside setting for strollers. It has recently been given a facelift, with landscaping designed to provide a more natural setting: several square meters of asphalt removed and 60 trees planted. A path under the trees leads to the picnic area, while another leads to the Maison des Éclusiers and the Chaussée des Moines quay. The XXL playground on Île de la Genette is a delight for children.
