PORT DE ROZÉ
The cradle of shipbuilding and a very active port in the 18th century thanks to the peat and black Brière trade
The Rozé site is not lacking in attractions. It was not only the cradle of shipbuilding, but also a very active port in the 18th century, thanks in particular to the trade in peat and Brière black. The port of Rozé lies at the confluence of the Brivet and the Rozé canal. The latter gives access to the undivided marshland of Grande Brière. The port's role in water management through its locks has long been indispensable. It's the starting point for hikes, horseback rides, mountain biking and barge trips. Many festivals are held here.
