The Sparkling mound is a funeral monument built around 3500 BC Formed from a cairn, imposing masse mass, it is wraparound of three walls, with dry stone, gradins. The cairn contains two transeptées megalithic tombs (crossing of the lateral quadrangular rooms and the corridor) opening onto the south-east façade of the building.
The study and the restoration of this remarkable monument make it possible to capture the appearance and originality of the sépultures megalithic tombs. It is a local type of monument, centered on Pornic and developed around the estuary of the Loire, in the Neolithic era.
This type of monument is part of the evolution of the single bedroom tombs.
