HENRI POIRON ET FILS
Welcome to Domaine Viticole Henri Poiron & Fils, located in the historic heart of the Nantes vineyards. Here, wines are made with the greatest respect for the winemaking tradition, handed down from father to son since the early 1800s. Today, we are welcomed by Éric Poiron, already representing the 8th generation of the vineyard! The 36-hectare estate is located just 30 minutes from Nantes, in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, between the Sèvre and Maine rivers. This is the place to come to taste the unmissable Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine-sur-Lie. These include Château des grandes Noelles, and the 2 excellent crus Goulaine and Monnières-Saint-Fiacre, Muscadets that can be laid down for 5 to 10 years, with unforgettable aromas and flavors for fine food and wine pairings. You'll also find Vins de Pays de Nantes (white, red, rosé). Great care is lavished on environmentally-friendly, HVE-certified viticulture. Éric and his team welcome you all year round, from Tuesday to Saturday lunchtime. You can visit the vineyard, the cellar, the barrel cellar with its stained-glass windows and, of course, taste the wines. Éric also runs an apple orchard: Verger des Planches in Saint-Julien-de-Concelles.
