Good news for residents of the neighborhood near rue de la Bastille: a brand-new bakery opened in October 2023, bearing the same name as the street: "Boulangerie de la Bastille". It's Elsa and Antoine who now welcome us with their determination to work in a 100% artisanal way. In other words, everything is homemade. We come for the fine range of organic breads in particular, but also for the other traditional breads including the Tradition baguette and other special breads with flours from short, agri-ethical supply chains! The viennoiseries are gourmet and pure butter, and the fine pastries are a real eye-catcher, with the inevitable lemon meringue tart, or the chocolate caramel tart... We also love the entremets (royal and exotic), and other delicacies. We'll be storming the Bastille again: but it'll be for the talent of these artisans!
