A pleasant family beach, ideal for walks and a wide range of activities, to discover in Sangatte.

This beach has made history as it was here that the first successful air crossing of the English Channel by Louis Blériot took place on 25 July 1909. Today, it is a pleasant family beach of 8 kilometers of fine sand and dunes that extends to the cliffs of Cap Blanc-Nez. The 2.4 km long dyke promises a beautiful walk and marked paths through the dunes are there to continue the stroll. Numerous activities are available: fishing, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, speed-sailing, stand-up paddling, longe-côte, horse riding...

Très belle promenade sur la digue
En partant de Bleriot plage (cabanes de plage typiques, très grande plage avec peu de constructions), j ai découvert par hasard la nouvelle digue de Sangatte, longue de plus de 2 kms, très agréable pour marcher également. Je recommande pour les amateurs de nature, de tranquillité et de photos.

L plage de Sangatte est splendide.La mer arrive au pied de la digue, juste avant la dune, à marée haute.Très peu de gens sur la plage en mai. Coucher de soleil splendide et le balai des ferrys en toile de fond ne nuit en rien au charme de l'endroit.
