The Marais in Saint-Omer is a wetland where you can discover exceptional flora and fauna.
Saint-Omer's marshlands are a must, with 13,000 long, narrow plots of land criss-crossed by 700 kilometers of paths. In this wetland, you'll discover exceptional flora and fauna: over 230 species of birds, a hundred species of beetles and 300 varieties of plants. Canoes, rowing boats, motorboats, paddleboats and bacôves are available for guided or self-guided tours. Admire the birds along the banks and the fish wriggling in the sometimes crystal-clear water. A true village atmosphere!

découvrir le musée et l'histoire de Saint-Omer et de son environnement - et la balade en bacove à recommander !
The marais audomarois is a special place where landscape completely is changed. It is possible to visit it several ways: On foot, while walking on the paths marked in the heart of Romelaere; boat specially designed for guided tours; or leisure with one canoe or boat and you get wherever you like thanks to the marais. The landscape is magnificent!
The marais is one of the typical of the region Saint-Omer. You can take a beautiful promenade (marked for partially-sighted persons) at the beginning of the natural barn Clairmarais and discover this particular fauna and flora
