The blockhouse of Eperlecques, classified as a historical monument, takes you back into the secrets of the Nazi army.

From 1943 onwards, the Eperlecques forest concealed one of the largest blockhouses ever built by the German army. At 22 meters high, this one-hectare building was intended to serve as a liquid oxygen production plant and V2 rocket launch base, with the aim of destroying London and Antwerp. At the other end of the forest was a V1 rocket launch base. Today, a guided tour with sound and commentary of this historical monument takes you back into the secrets of the Nazi army.

This WW2 installation is hidden away in the woods, you would not know it's there. Well preserved and presented. V1 & V2 manufacturing and launch base that is a must for everyone with an interest in WW2.
