Just 100 m from the Spanish border, Jean-Michel and Pierre Ithurbide, a father-and-son team, are at the helm of the kitchen, cooking up traditional, perfectly prepared dishes. Depending on the season, you'll choose from garbure, crispy black pudding with apples, brandade cod with chorizo cream, calf's head with gribiche sauce, excellent sweetbreads and THE house specialty, seafood paella served with meat. Authenticity, simplicity and quality in this restaurant, with a friendly, efficient brigade.

A family hotel restaurant in the heart of the Basque country in Ainhoa

Located in the heart of the Basque country in the commune of Ainhoa, Dancharia district, one of the most beautiful villages in France. The hotel restaurant Ur Hegian has existed for 3 generations. The Ithurbide family welcomes you for a moment of relaxation

Restaurant: traditional cuisine, tasty and generous dishes... in a large room with a bay window, separated by a glass roof. All our dishes are homemade by Pierre and Jean Michel with fresh local products, such as Aldudes cured ham, Manex pork, "herrikoa" meat born and raised in the Basque country...and not forgetting our speciality, our seafood PAELLA served with farm chicken and homemade pure pork sausage

On the hotel side: our 19 recently renovated rooms offer a modern style (wall and bathroom in waxed concrete) mixed with our rustic furniture
