THE CHAMBER OF CHARITIES OF SAINT-ÉLOI

Founded in 1188, the Confrérie des Charitables de Saint-Éloi is one of the oldest in France. It was founded by two blacksmiths, Germon and Gauthier, who were asked by Saint Eloi to found a karity to assist the poor, care for the sick and bury the dead. To this day, the Charitables still continue their work. A chapel is located in the heart of the park of Quinty, at the place where the founders met the saint.
