TWO-CAPS SITE HOUSE
House of the site of the two-caps in Audinghen, where one finds a store, toilets and an interactive and ludic course.
Further south than its neighbour Cap Blanc-Nez, Cap Gris-Nez is located at the end of which stands a lighthouse with a range of 50 kilometres. The Regional Sea Rescue Operations Centre (Cross) monitors there the Channel traffic, one of the densest in the world with about 500 boats a day. Cap Gris-Nez is made up of Jurassic-age terrain. From the beach, a cut in the cliff allows you to observe the geological strata full of fossils dating back more than 150 million years. It offers a privileged stopover for many species of migratory birds. The view over the Bay of Wissant and the Blanc-Nez is simply splendid and invites you to daydream along the hiking trails. In the old barn of the Haringzelle farm, Rémi, Jennifer, Mélinda and Séverine welcome you every day with a smile at the Maison du site des Deux-Caps. Inside, you will find a shop, toilets and an interactive and playful trail to discover the history of this coveted site, from Julius Caesar to the feat of Louis Blériot in 1909. There are also walking tours with bike hire and the possibility of Nordic walking.
Superbe vue sur la baie et les falaises de Douvres.
