Le Boves, Arras' most fascinating historical site.
Discover the subterranean history of Arras by diving into its limestone quarries, dug from the 10th century onwards in the city's basements. Initially a place of extraction and sweat, these boves became cellars and warehouses for the merchants of the squares, then a shelter for the population of Arras during the bombardments of the Second World War.
