When this place was built in 1860, the cameras did not exist yet. However, the goal was already to offer a maximum of regression compared to the rear façade of town hall. It welcomed the fruit and vegetable market. A tradition that continues to be alive today. Destroyed during the First World War, it did not benefit like the Grand Place and the Heroes of the same Reconstruction. It was the art deco style of the time, with strong accents of regionalism, which was chosen.
