Belfry overhanging the city hall in Arras, perched at 55 m high and offering a spectacular view of the city and its surroundings.

Overlooking the town hall, the belfry has been on Unesco's World Heritage List since July 15, 2005, and was voted Monument Préféré des Français! You can take an elevator up to the tower's first crown, then climb some forty steps. Perched at a height of 55 metres, you'll enjoy a spectacular view of the city and its surroundings. The building is topped by a lion, a tribute to Louis XIV, who united the town of Arras with France.

A la suite des bombardements allemands de la Première Guerre mondiale, le beffroi a été détruit pour la deuxième fois puis reconstruit de manière identique à l'original. Il a servi de prison en son temps... Avec ses 75 m de hauteur il abrite une quarantaine de cloches. A voir
