Association intended to promote in the region the development of public reading, literary life, the book economy, and to promote links between all actors in the book (authors, publishing houses, bookstores, libraries, writing workshops, organisers of fairs or literary events…), the CRLL is also a centre of documentary resources and information about the book. concerning the book chain and the literary news in Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Located in the Lab-Labanque in Béthune for 3 years, CRLL Nord-Pas-de-Calais took its neighbourhoods at the Citadelle in February 2012. It regularly publishes an excellent journal, Sita, distributed free of charge and can be found in the main cultural sites of the region, as well as on the association's website.

MEDIATHEQUE

Media library

The city's magnificent library library comprises three modern and equipped floors, each with books, discs, cassettes and computers. The ground floor remains the children's corner, and entertainment and readings are held regularly, including Tale Hour, Wednesday at a. m. and p. m., for children from 6 months of age. On the first floor, adults enjoy access to all books, magazines and documents, in addition to teaching materials and video library. On the second floor, the disco, well furnished, also has points of listening - all styles are represented - a catalogue also lists the novelties and an order can even be passed. Located on the second floor of the City Hall, this association, which has existed for over 40 years, welcomes newcomers to Arras. It not only provides information on the possibilities offered by the city, but also proposes a wide range of activities and maintains itself as one of the most important structures in the city. The program includes physical activities (hiking, swimming pool, cycling, etc.), manual activities (sewing, embroidery, framing, etc.), cultural activities (revolving library, English conversation, cinema outings, etc.), relaxing activities (walks, flower arranging, dancing, singing, wine tasting, etc.) and many others (visits, trips, meetings, cocktails, etc.). The latest new activities are sophrology and painting.

COMITE LEO LAGRANGE DU PAS-DE-CALAIS

National Youth and Education Association, governed by the Law of 1901 and recognized as public utility, the Léo Lagrange National Federation and the associations that make it up offer, through the guarantees they have, the guarantees of serious, security and quality of their actions and educational projects. Its scope of action is developed in cultural and artistic activities, being a mediator between art and all public, in European and international activities, in national campaigns in the participation of the inhabitants, in education for consumption and the environment, in the training of facilitators and actors of the city, in training and insertion, in the form of training and integration. to combat exclusion, youth and leisure initiatives, sport and family holidays to bring together adults and children. Leo Lagrange projects are being implemented by involving all the components of the ground. Unlike artificial solutions or cam solutions, the yards are defined and developed with the inhabitants and actors of civil society: parents, teachers, representatives of territorial or state communities, stakeholders in socio-cultural sectors, local associations, health professionals… At the key, tension interconnected thanks to listening and respect on the ground, projects adapted because of local and developed expectations with stakeholders. The Léo Lagrange-Pas-de-Calais Committee was reactivated in 2004, its aim is to assist networks and associations (in a technical way, through the installation of files, by providing material associations). More than 500 associations are affiliated to the national territory and the committee operates throughout the department.
