This square is home to the beautiful town hall, numerous restaurants with terraces and a shopping center in Valenciennes.

This large square has been designed to make the city a pleasant place to stroll. There are numerous terraces for a drink, restaurants, a shopping center... In terms of architecture, the majestic facade of the town hall, rebuilt in the 19th century, is all that remains from before the Second World War. There's also the Valenciennes: a giant 45-metre stainless steel needle whose structure is entirely covered with words collected from Valenciennes residents wishing to pay tribute to their city.

Une belle place !
Un peu morose en hiver mais très agréables aux beaux jours ! Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas plus de restaurants et de terrasses pour en profiter. C'est tout de même un des plus beaux endroits de Valenciennes.

Bel endroit central à Valenciennes, à peine 5 minutes de la gare. Bâtiments administratifs, grand centre commercial, ce site a plusieurs entrées et mélange à la fois une architecture 'traditionnelle du Nord' et une autre plus moderne.
Très bien pensé, bien situé, pratique, accessible en tramway, issue du programme 'Coeur de Ville', ce lieu est une vraie réussite.

La place d'armes de Valenciennes mérite une visite si vous passez par Valenciennes. Elle compte un bel hôtel de ville, un obélisque très original et de nombreux restaurants. A la fin de l'hiver, elle est un peu triste cependant.
