Workshop-museum in an old glass factory, ideal for observing glassblowers in action continuing a local craft tradition.

This workshop-museum is housed in a former glassworks founded in 1823! It produced bottles until 1914, before switching to flaconnage until its final closure in 1977. This exceptional site offers a glimpse of typical 19th-century architecture. You can also see two very impressive furnaces. Here, you can watch glassblowers in action, continuing a tradition of local craftsmanship that has left a lasting mark on the country.

Large post industrial complex with many big buildings. The atelier is an impressive large hall featuring many ovens which was nice to experience . The demonstration is funnto watch if you have never seen this before. Nog glassblowing seen, only creation af a glass by rotation. Hard to understand due to acoustics and noise of the ovens. Exhibition is only in French and mostly showing the craftsmanship of glassware, less on the arts.
Not sure if related, but the nearby brasserie refused to only serve drinks after our visit, it was only possible to consume something when also eating. Overall disappointing experience.
