ECOMUSÉE DE L'AVESNOIS - WORKSHOP-MUSEUM OF GLASS

This workshop-museum is located in a former glass factory founded in 1823 and dedicated to the manufacture of bottles until 1914 before moving to bottling until its final closure in 1977. This exceptional site gives a glimpse of a typical ^19th century architecture. Two impressive furnaces remain. You can observe glassblowers in action, continuing a local craft tradition that has left a lasting mark on the country.
