Archaeological site reconstituting a Carolingian village, a Merovingian necropolis and presenting the Gallo-Roman period.

Near Cambrai, this archaeological site recreates both a Carolingian village and a Merovingian necropolis, and includes displays from the Gallo-Roman era. Here, you can take the whole family on an educational journey through three eras! And that's not all: the Archéo'site also offers workshops and courses for young and old. Events are organized here every year: medieval suppers, Midsummer bonfires, vineyard festivals... to relive the traditions of yesteryear. It's a fun place to visit!

Ce petit site très convivial est un joli terrain d'aventures pour les enfants. La guide est passionnée.Les reconstitutions de bâtiments et d'ateliers sont très pédagogiques. L'exposition sur les jeux de la Grèce antique est bien construite. On a passé un agréable moment en famille.

Superbe visite faite aujourd'hui dans le cadre de mon master Patrimoine et Ressources Territoriales. Une très belle exposition, excellente mise en valeur d'un site de fouilles exceptionnel qui mériterait d'être davantage connu. Magnifiques reconstitutions de l'architecture du haut Moyen âge. Merci beaucoup au guide, j'ai appris beaucoup de choses !
