Archaeological site reconstituting a Carolingian village, a Merovingian necropolis and presenting the Gallo-Roman period.

Near Cambrai, this archaeological site recreates both a Carolingian village and a Merovingian necropolis, and includes displays from the Gallo-Roman era. Here, you can take the whole family on an educational journey through three eras! And that's not all: the Archéo'site also offers workshops and courses for young and old. Events are organized here every year: medieval suppers, Midsummer bonfires, vineyard festivals... to relive the traditions of yesteryear. It's a fun place to visit!

Après une bonne explication de la part de la dame de l'accueil, nous avons pu parcourir l'archeo site. Hors événement vous pourrez le parcourir en 30min voir plus si vous voulez observer correctement. De plus vous avez une chouette exposition fixe et une temporaire dans le bâtiment attenant à l'accueil.

Je recommande fortement pour en apprendre plus sur notre histoire que vous soyez belge ou français

Les cavaliers d'Austrasie...c'était un spectacle superbe avec beaucoup d'humour!! l'apprentissage du guerrier Franc le 28 juillet.mes petits enfants ont adorés,On avait l'impression d'être à cette période avec la démonstration de la teinte pour la laine, village superbement bien représenté avec les tentes et les personnes étaient habillées de l'époque ,(Carolingiens)Archeo'site a découvrir avec visite guidée et des activitées pour les enfants pendant les Vacances scolaires
