One of the oldest buildings in the city, typical of Flemish art in red brick, and with imposing windows.
This is the oldest building in the town, dating back to the 15th century. It is typical of Flemish art, as evidenced by its red brickwork, imposing windows and Flanders lion. Its spire was destroyed by shellfire during the Second World War, but was rebuilt in 1994. The interior comprises 3 vessels, plus chapels dedicated to Saint Sebastian and Saint Anne. The stained glass windows, entirely dedicated to the beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount, are expressive and colorful. A must-see!
