Ecomuseum dedicated to rural and industrial heritage, comprising the Atelier-Musée du Verre in Trélon and the Musée du Textile et de la Vie Sociale in Fourmies.

This unique museum retraces the history of the textile industry in the Avesnois region, with a display of machines inherited from the spinning mills of the time. But that's not all: the museum also looks back at the May^1st 1891 shoot-out, which made Labor Day a symbol of the workers' struggle. Finally, a reconstruction of a ^19th-century Fourmies street plunges visitors into the daily life of the working class. A journey to the heart of the industrial revolution.

Ce musée est vraiment incontournable ! Informations riches et un aménagement qui vaut vraiment le détour. Visite effectuée ce jour à 16h et nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'explications d'un guide passionné qui nous a appris plein de choses. A conseiller et merci beaucoup !
