In 1538, Francis I appointed an official printer to the king. In 1640, Richelieu founded the Imprimerie Royale. And in 2018, the Imprimerie Nationale, now IN Groupe, set up this unique facility, where the historical heritage of this ancient institution coexists with a printing activity! This Atelier du Livre d'Art et de l'Estampe is remarkable for its history and expertise. And it opens its doors to you for tours of its workshops and collections, accompanied by a craftsman who works here... a privilege.
