Restaurant in a simple and warm place in Dunkerque.

This establishment emphasizes simplicity, taste and friendliness. The ingredient of choice is - and you won't be surprised - the potato! But what a potato! An impressive variety that is garnished to perfection and cooked with all kinds of sauces: 4 cheeses, Flemish, Savoyard, Alpine, Neapolitan, Norwegian, Alsatian, Oceanic, Nordic, and of course the Dunkirk version with... herring. There is even a vegetarian version. If you are not a potato fan, the daily specials are varied. A simple and warm place, the establishment was renovated at the beginning of 2019. It is located on the newly restored part of the dike. During the carnival period, on ball nights at the Kursaal (the establishment is located just next door!), the Patatière is packed and transformed for the "Carnapapate": the team is dressed up, the atmosphere is very sought-after. Reservations are made several weeks in advance! As soon as the meal is over, it's time for the DJ!

Repas de samedi soir avant bal, personnel avec de l'expérience qui gère le nombre important de commande sans aucun problème
Les assiettes y sont toujours copieuse, pas la peine d'y aller si on a pas faim !!
Menu carnaval, mais avec pas mal de choix....apéro plat dessert et une boisson...25€...qui dit mieux ?

LE restaurant est très bien situé, le long de la digue. La vue est magnifique. L restaurant est assez grand. Les plats sont très copieux et à prix très raisonnables. Les serveurs sont sympathiques et souriants.

Je suis allée à la patatière ce week-end et je me suis régalée. C'est un restaurant que je fréquente de temps en temps et je n'ai jamais été déçue. Les pommes de terre sont garnies et sont très généreuses. En plus, il y en a pour tous les goûts car la carte est très diversifiée. Le prix est faible (18€ maximum d'après ce que j'ai vu) et le dessert au choix est toujours compris.
Cerise sur le gateau, le service est top et le personnel très souriant.
Petit bémol : mieux vaut réserver car le restaurant est vite rempli car il a des fidèles clients et il est situé face à la mer.
