BAILIWICK CASTLE

It is one of the most striking monuments of the city! The castle of Bailleul, seat of two lordly families of Condé, was built more than 600 years ago. You will not fail to admire its facade and its medieval castle look, as well as the buildings adjacent to it which date from this period. The visit of the floors is worth the detour: you can reach it either by a spiral staircase in the western turret, or by another staircase which was built for the arrival of Louis XIV, no less! The view from the top is worth the climb.
