The Citadel and fortifications of Cambrai offer an 8-stage tour of its remains and underground passageways.
Built in 1543 on the orders of Charles V, Cambrai's citadel was a strategic military stronghold for centuries. Designed to protect the city, it withstood numerous sieges. Although partially destroyed in the 19th century, it has preserved some remarkable remains, including a counter-mine gallery, the royal gate, a 16th-century arsenal and 18th-century dwellings. A testimony to Cambrai's military history, it remains an emblematic site.

The Citadel and its Fortifications is really things to be visited at least once, it is very interesting!
