Classified as a historical monument in 1942, the Porte de Paris is a vestige of the medieval past of the city and its fortifications.

The Porte de Paris is one of the buildings that welcome you when you arrive in the centre of Cambrai! The only vestige of its medieval past and fortifications, it was built in the 14th century to protect one of the entrances to the city of Cambrai.

Classified as a historical monument in 1942, it has been destroyed and renovated several times, and today only the "simple device" remains: a door and its turrets. Nevertheless, it is an interesting vestige to admire, if only to imagine its past grandeur.
