ONDANKMEULEN - THE MILL OF INGRATITUDE

From the top of the Mount of Boeschèpe, culminating at more than 110 meters, this mill imposes its elegant stature. It was classified as a historical monument in 1977. Literally meaning "Mill of Ingratitude", its name refers to a quarrel between the owner of the mill and his carpenter! With its stone base and its wooden tower typical of the mills of the North, it weighs more than 55 tons. Its specificity lies in its pivot structure which allows it to turn on itself.
