Hotel, restaurant and bistro offering traditional cuisine and home fries in Bergues.

Au Tonnelier is a charming hotel and also a very good bistro-inspired restaurant that brilliantly reinvents traditional cuisine. The decoration, all in woodwork, reminds the brasseries of yesteryear. On the menu, a generous local cuisine. We find the unavoidable potjevleesch and its home-made fries or the Flemish carbonnade and its tagliatelle. The menu is built around 5 starters, 5 main courses and 5 desserts. To give pride of place to seasonal and local products, the menu is renewed every month.

Logis. Low season: open Monday to Thursday and Saturday evenings. High season: Monday to Saturday lunchtime; every day in the evening. Closed on Sunday evenings and Friday evenings (November to March) and on public holiday evenings. Reservations recommended. Menus from €23 to €28. A la carte menu: approx. €22. Wine by the glass. Starter/main course or main course/dessert: €23. Full menu: €28. Restaurant vouchers available. Groups welcome (120-cover reception room).

Client depuis 2010 à raison de 2-3 nuits par mois, je n’ai pas trouvé mieux.
L’hôtel, les chambres sont de qualité et le restaurant et top.

My husband and I stumbled across this little gem of a hotel. We needed a night en route to Lille and called into the local tourist information office who guided us to this hotel. The room we stayed in was modern and very clean. The shower was fabulous the bed very very comfortable…the pillows not so much. On exploring Bergue we discovered a very pretty town. On returning to the hotel we booked in to the restaurant. This meal was sensational. The ambience was perfect. The food was just to die for, really top-notch tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were so friendly….if a little laid back on arrival! We would highly recommend this hotel and we wish we had had longer to stay there.

Venu un dimanche lors du carnaval prendre un verre au bar, j'ai hésité à repartir tellement l'accueil à été chaleureux. L'endroit est superbe, comme le personnel, et invite à revenir prendre du plaisir. A recommander sans hésiter. Samy
