CITÉ DE LA JUSTICE
A housing estate linked to pit no. 8 of the Compagnie des Mines de l'Escarpelle, a place to visit with its gardens and square
This housing estate is closely linked to pit no. 8 of the Compagnie des Mines de l'Escarpelle. It was built between 1923 and 1930, and a few more houses were added in 1953 to house the workers who worked for the company. With its concrete-fenced gardens, its pleasant square and the multiplicity of its architectural styles, it is of great aesthetic interest, as well as having a place in the history of life in Auby in the 20th century. It is currently undergoing renovations to ensure its preservation!
