CARMELITE CLOISTER
A well-hidden garden featuring a small landscaped garden with vaulted galleries, brickwork, plants and a fountain
Tucked away behind the town hall parking lot, the Cloître des Carmes is a former convent dating from the early 18th century, surrounding a small landscaped garden. Here, you can stroll beneath rib-vaulted galleries resting on brick arches, or wander among the plants, lulled by the murmur of a fountain. Refurbished in 2007 in the medieval tradition, the garden is divided into four plots dedicated to medicinal, ornamental, vegetable and fruit plants. Today, the building houses the Conservatoire municipal de musique et de danse.
