This Saint-Pierre de Moissac abbey is a place of spirituality distinguished by its architecture and sculptures.
The Abbey of Saint-Pierre de Moissac, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of France's most remarkable architectural ensembles, thanks in particular to its extraordinary Romanesque sculptures. Its cloister is considered one of the most beautiful in southern Europe. The oldest remains of the abbey date back to the 9th century. Its golden age came in the 11th century. A spiritual Mecca, the abbey can be visited with a guide, audioguide or on your own.

Opening time and information on ABBAYE SAINT-PIERRE DE MOISSAC
Open all year round. Cloister closed on January 1 and December 25. Church open daily from 7am to 7pm, except during funerals and services (see website for opening hours). Cloister open from March to November, opening hours according to season. June to September: 9am-7pm; April, May and October: 9am-12pm / 2pm-6pm. Abbey church: free admission. Cloister: admission charge (free to €7, depending on profile). Guided tours (daily at 2:30pm). Store.

L'architecture est d'une finesse , des belles arcades, des jardins, magnifiquement entretenues !
Sur la route de St Jacques de Compostelle !
Beaucoup de pèlerin font le détour pour faire une alte , un recueillement, une prière dans cette très belle structure religieuse !
N'hésitez pas a vous y arrêter, il y en a peu comme celle ci !
