The Ancien Château (rectangular 52 m long and 31 m wide), was flanked at each corner, by round towers measuring 12 m in exterior diameter, with walls 2.80 metres thick. The height of the surviving tower was reduced by half. On the south side, you will find remains of other towers and part of the surrounding wall. Remember that this castle, still intact in the last century, was sold (1 800 gold francs) by the municipality: its stones were used to enlarge the Eysses prison which is the ancient Saint-Sernin-d'Eysses abbey.
