In 51 BC, while Gaul was under Roman domination, a small village was still holding out against the invaders. This last battle, known as Uxellodunum, has long been the subject of debate as to its exact location. While several sites lay claim to the name Uxellodunum, it was Vayrac, at Puy d'Issolud, that was officially designated by the French Ministry of Culture in 2001. Excellente et passionnante visite, faite avec clareté et étayéé de nombreuses anecdotes. A recommander sans hésitation ! un moment de culture historique sur la Guerre des Gaules, et cette dernière bataille à Uxellodunum, méconnue du grand public. Bravo !
