La Maison Desgourmets is first and foremost a story of family, tradition, know-how and love of pastry, and of specialties made with nuts from Quercy and Périgord. "When you love, you don't count", here, the father tells you the story while the mother and son delight you. Soft, sweet tarts reveal the nature of a nutrient-rich fruit that's excellent for your health. Pies or soft cakes, a gourmet corner to discover, as well as gingerbread preparations to make at home. Open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 6pm. Delivery available (free for orders over €100 inc. VAT). From 10.90 to 11.90€ walnut, orange, fig and chocolate tarts, 2.90€ tartlets.

This artisan patisserie, located in the Meymes business park in Prayssac, continues a century-old tradition of making the famous walnut tart and other regional delicacies. In the Maison de la Noix, adjacent to the production laboratory, Jean-François Baldès and his son Martin present local products based around walnuts. Passionate about gastronomy and traditional know-how, they offer a unique tasting experience. Their pastry chef rigorously selects ingredients from local producers to guarantee high-quality creations. Discover authentic recipes for pastry specialties from Périgord and Quercy: moelleux, fig, orange or walnut tarts with icing, various tarts, and many other delicacies. Our must-try products include walnut and dark chocolate spreads, caramelized or salted almonds with thyme and rosemary, and gingerbread mixes. La Tartelette
The Tartelette aux Noix uses the same ingredients as the classic Tarte aux Noix, to create a delicious individual slice that's perfect for a large number of gourmet breaks.
Walnut and orange tart
This superb delicacy is a variation on our famous plain walnut tart, to which we've added candied orange pieces. This cake perfectly combines citrus flavors and creamy caramel with chopped walnuts.
