Museum housing the works of Ossip Zakine, one of the greatest sculptors of the century. A must-see address in Les Arques.

In the early 1930s, accompanied by his wife, Ossip Zakine found Les Arques an ideal site for his creations. Today, in its museum, church and alleyways, the little village can boast works by one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century, recognized as a master of cubist sculpture. Today, this museum extends into the village: the Pietà and the Great Christ have naturally found their place in the church, and bronze works are exhibited outdoors, including La Grande Prisonnière, recently on loan from the Musée Zadkine in Paris.

Si vous aimez la sculpture ne manquez pas ce musée qui semble perdu dans ce tout petit village du Lot, mais qui pourrait tout aussi bien se trouver dans une grande ville. La vie et l'oeuvre d'Ossip Zadkine qui a vécu aux Arques y sont évoquées dans de grandes salles et le conservateur participe grandement, à travers ses explications, au plaisir de la visite.
