A local child, Christophe Ratz learned the trade in England and Belgium to come back to create his own craft brewery, thus reviving an old tradition lost in Quercy. The brewer brought his hops from the North and his barley malt from the Centre, then the alchemy was forged in Fontanes, a small and quiet town. From its vats comes out a top fermentation beer, unpasteurized, with a rich flavour, whether blond, white, brown or amber. Rewarded at the national competition in 2004, the beer is enjoyed at the bar on site, where it can also be purchased.
