Joël Hocquelet is the current mayor of Marmande. He is also a community councillor for Val de Garonne Agglomération, a departmental councillor and vice-president in charge of agriculture, and a member of the Socialist Party. His mandate is part of a participatory democracy approach, with consultation of residents on major projects, an ecological and food pact, a reflection on mobility and a restructuring of the boulevards. The town hall is located in Place Clemenceau, which was given a facelift in 2024.

Dommage que cette ville sois, aussi sale avec beaucoup de commerces fermés comme des bars. Boutiques et qu elle honte à cette marié ça devient presque un mouroir heureusement qu il y a une bonne aire pour nous les camping cariste mais dommage qu il n y est pas d animation sur le grand parc devant l aire ça manque d animation de musique et faudrait une bonne guinguette ( même démontable) dans ce beau parc.. Que fout cette mairie faut pas s etonner que les touriste préfère le lot
