Lac de Gaube is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Pyrenees. At the foot of the Pic de Vignemale (3,298 m), situated at an altitude of 1,725 m, it is easily accessible, attracting many people for a simple walk or a family picnic. For those who don't like walking, you can take the Gaube chairlift to get there. This is followed by a fifteen-minute walk on a flat path. Others take the GR10 for a hike of around 1h15. Photographers immortalize the clear or icy waters where this giant shimmers.

bon endroit pour un pique nique
Facile d'accès : montée et/ou descente grâce aux cabines + télésiège depuis le Pont d'Espagne. Il reste ensuite 15mn de marche sur du plat.
Possibilité de monter ou descendre par le GR10 (1h à 1h30, bien pentu tout de même).
Petit restaurant au pied du lac (bar, sandwichs, frites, plats à l'assiette, desserts). Nous y avons pris des sandwichs et desserts (tarte, crêpes) : sans intérêt autre que de se nourrir et de passer un petit moment assis sous les parasols.
