LAC DU SALABERT
Not far from the Maison de la Noisette in Lacépède, a large lake can be explored on foot along an educational trail.
This 25-hectare lake, lined with beautiful trees, looks immense when viewed from the shore. Created in 1992 for irrigation purposes, in 1995 it became a place dedicated to environmental awareness, with the Maison de la Nature, an observatory on stilts and a school apiary. Since 2015, the Heron Association has been leading an educational trail of less than 3 km devoted to flora and fauna, complemented by a Tèrra Aventura trail. A fun walk, accessible to children, ideal for discovering local nature with the whole family.
