Atelier Flamenco initiates you to the sensual and dynamic gestures of flamenco dances and sevillanas. Much more than a dance, it is the whole art of flamenco that is transmitted to you here. Adults and children will learn the skillful techniques of the feet and hands, their placement and the posture of the body in the energy of the movement. Beyond Argentine tango classes, salsa, cha cha, rock, waltz, swing, swing, samba, Pascale Mazurelle and Raymond Clanet offer tap classes, and it's probably this plurality of disciplines that have been successful for over 20 years! Specific beginners programs are organized, and collective or individual courses are tailored to all levels. Children from age 6 also have their dance courses, and can take care of Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly from 8 years old. You pass through a 330 m 2 dance trail or a special course studio of 32 m 2. Every first Thursday of the month, the MJC Pont des Demoiselles in Toulouse offers a traditional ball workshop. Traditional music teachers and their students can take the stage to test their repertoire, make people dance and put themselves in the situation of ball musicians. This is a real moment of conviviality and sharing, where amateur and experienced dancers can join the musicians on stage to enjoy the music.

La Baraque is a contemporary dance company based in Toulouse. Founded in 1989, it seeks to break free from the academic canons of dance to create its own style in which all bodies can express themselves in complete freedom. Convinced that dance can be a vehicle for emancipation, the company emphasizes the generosity of the performers' gestures and the sensitivity of others. Since 2011, La Baraque has been based at La Vannerie - Friche Culturelle de St-Simon, where it organizes creative residencies for contemporary dance companies from the Occitanie region. The company combines creation with awareness-raising, enriching the work of professionals and amateurs, inspiring vocations and training new audiences. It also seeks to create synergies between different artistic practices and to broaden audiences.

For more than forty years, the Occitan Center for Traditional Music and Dance has had as its goal the dissemination of traditional music and dance, the sensitization and transmission as well as the conservation and valorization of this vernacular heritage. La Place de la Danse (or Centre de développement chorégraphique national) supports the creation and research of choreographic artists by hosting them in residence, producing or co-producing their works and presenting them during its season and its annual festival.
