LES GUINGUETTES
There's nothing better than a guinguette to enjoy an evening in the open air. More and more of them are springing up every summer, much to our delight. Often short-lived, they represent the conviviality and spirit of the Franche-Comté over a glass of white wine. Formerly known as "guinguet", white wine was consumed in the popular drinking establishments that sprang up along rivers and canoes outside towns in the 19th century. The Garonne (port de la Viguerie, quai de Tounis...) and the Canal du Midi are no exception to this tradition.
