Built in 1864, this superb octagonal brick building, once the grain market of Toulouse, has become a renowned concert hall and a Mecca for classical music in Europe. The Halle is home to the National Orchestra of the Capitole, conducted since 2008 by Tugan Sokhiev, which delights the public throughout the year with its performances. The programme of "great performers" also invites artists and orchestras from the four corners of the musical world. Le Citron Bleu is a 100% humorous café-theatre. The small, intimate room is installed in one of the typical coal cellars that the neighbourhood is full of and offers a setting of character. This former cinema, well known to the people of Toulouse, located near the boulevards and bought a few years ago by the Chevaliers du Fiel, has moved away from humorous programming to devote itself fully to music. You are here in a theatre dedicated to humour and creation: one-man-show, improvisations and comedy follow one another in a variety of styles, halfway between theatre and café-théâtre. Beautifully decorated in an Italian style, the comfortable room welcomes you for moments of certified good humour. Le Cratère is a charming little cinema in Toulouse that's a real treat for film buffs. With just 80 seats and one screen, it offers "Art et Essai, Recherche et Découverte" programming, 80% of which is made up of revivals of films after their run in the larger Art et Essai cinemas in the city center. But you can also discover rare and innovative films, often presented by their director. Short films regularly complete the program. In addition to its good films, Le Cratère offers the friendly atmosphere of an "old neighborhood cinema", ideal for an authentic experience.

Created in 1988, the Théâtre Garonne devotes its activity to contemporary arts, be it theatre, dance or music. It is housed in a former river water pumping station, made up of four fairground brick buildings, where the workshops and a 255-seat auditorium have been installed. Entirely renovated, it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the Garonne and a bar where you can sip a drink while waiting for the stage. In the heart of the pink city, the Théâtre de la Cité is Toulouse's national drama centre. This imposing building of bricks, glass and stone, built in the footsteps of the former Toulouse Conservatory, echoes loud and clear the voices of poets and playwrights. Since 2018, under the direction of director Galin Stoev, has been launching a programme for the widest possible audience. This is a long way from elitist theatre. A place of life and sharing opens up. Similarly, space is given to creation and co-production, to artists' residencies. With its hundred or so musicians, the Orchestre National du Capitole, under the artistic direction of Tugan Sokhiev since 2005, is one of the best French orchestras. It performs the symphonic season at the Halle aux Grains as well as the lyrical season at the Théâtre du Capitole with a rich program all year long, and participates in numerous tours throughout Occitania as well as internationally, while being a guest of numerous festivals.

The second largest cinematheque in France, this institution was created in 1958 by a handful of collectors. It is now of international standing, offering screenings for all ages, exhibitions, festivals, meetings with guests, film-concerts... It benefits from a very varied collection, ranging from Soviet cinema to American burlesque, which covers the entire history of cinema from its origins. In the summer, at sunset, open-air projections on giant screens bring the masterpieces of the seventh art to life.
