In the center of Casteljaloux, a brasserie-style restaurant offering sophisticated cuisine with Basque accents.

Long owned by Catherine and Rémy Fusaro, Le Cassissier was taken over in 2023 by their son Yoann and daughter-in-law Amandine. The new look is reflected in a trendier name (Le Cass') and a revisited bistronomic menu. There are pronounced Basque touches like Espelette pepper jelly in the goat's cheese salad, ewe's milk cheese and cherry jam with the duck leg confit, and Izarra liqueur custard with the chocolate fondant. A rewarding effort to perpetuate the family business.

Lieu et cadre très agréable, serveuses très souriantes c'est très agréable et rare de nos jours. Mes filles ont raffoler les bugers aux poulets et boeufs, nous les combinés bœufs et confit de canard un régal et le summum de vrai frites maison, la crème brûlé excellente mais déçu parce qu'elle n'est pas brûlé au moment de servir sinon elle est très bonne quand-même.

Très bien reçue par un personnel souriant et sympathique, des plats simples mais très bien cuisinés,un menu à un prix très abordable(18€) par rapport aux autres restaurants aux alentours .
Il me tarde d'y retourner pour essayer la carte !!
