Things to see and do Saint-Affrique

The site of Space rock preserves the remains of the medieval castle which once dominated the city. There remains only the tank, because the Count of Toulouse destroyed it in 1238 in order to abort any risk of insubordination. Around this rock, a botanical garden has been built. It allows you to discover aromatic plants and shrubs, pushing in the midst of remnants of ancient walls. A break to this site also allows you to enjoy the panorama of the city, the valley of the Sorgues and the seven hills.

This is the first pedestrian circuit developed by the tourist office of Saint-Affricain, and its departure is given to Calmels-et-le-Viala. Within 7 kilometres you will first visit the amazing village of Du, nestled on its promomtoire above the river and the Cambelong valley. Then your steps will take you to the borders of this rural territory; you will discover the history of the men and women who shaped the landscape. To accompany you, this hike is available at the Tourist Office.
