Museum organizing a discovery of the wealth of the abbey of Saint-Sever, to dive into antiquity, and admire the Beatus

The Musée d'art et d'histoire du Cap de Gascogne is an opportunity to combine pleasure and learning. Stroll through the former Jacobin convent, plunge into antiquity with the Gallo-Roman villa of Gleyzia and discover the wealth of the Saint-Sever abbey, one of the most powerful in Aquitaine during the Middle Ages. Admire the Beatus, the famous manuscript of the Apocalypse, produced at Saint-Sever in the 11th century and a source of inspiration for great modern artists such as Picasso.
