Authentic Ecomuseum to discover the furnished houses of the former inhabitants in Sabres
Experience a day out of time, at the pace of 14th-century inhabitants, on a traditional Landes airial. A unique site in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, created in 1969 and awarded the Musée de France label. On this preserved 25-hectare site, discover the habitat, know-how and culture of yesteryear. While children try their hand at old-fashioned games, adults can dine at L'Estanquet or La Table de Marquèze, where they can discover the local gastronomy. Exhibitions at the Pavillon, opposite the Sabres train station, complete this journey back in time.

On peut manger sur place
Nous y étions venus lorsque j’étais jeune.
Et nous sommes un peu déçus.
L’écomusee présente moins d’animations qu’autrefois, et a moins de personnel. Personnel qui est par ailleurs très agréable.
Le « guidage » dans l’écomusée pourrait être modernisé (appli à télécharger par exemple) ce qui permettrait de remplacer les panneaux vieillissants.
On y arrive par un petit train, c’est très ludique.
Étant du département, j’ai découvert pleins de choses très intéressantes.
Il y a une exposition/musée au niveau de la gare de départ, dans un nouveau bâtiment très beau, malheureusement, tout ne fonctionnait pas, et l’entretien, c’est primordial dans ce genre d’expo.
Le personnel est charmant.
