SHANTYTOWN OF TRUCES
This castle has a park with more than 500 species of trees, shrubs and flowers
Slightly altered in the 18th and 19th centuries, the château was built by Gilles de Trêves, who bought the property from the Dukes of Bar and turned the Perthois stone house into a holiday resort. Over the centuries, the owners have taken particular care to enhance the park, which is classified as a remarkable park in France. It is home to over 500 species of trees, shrubs and flowers. Its special charm is also due to the nearby Saulx waterfall.
