If you want to see true blue French, this is the place to go. Magnificent old château that could have invented the concept of "shabby chic". Built in the 1700s, most of the furniture looks to be original... as does the decoration (as flakes off the walls). A living, breathing museum that you can stay the night in. We had a simple breakfast in the morning, our cook and waiter was the owner. He was totally charming and looked like he had been specifically picked for the role of "French château owner". He makes his own Armagnac and will sell you a 50 year old bottle if you want. His family have owned the château since it was built in 1765 - and he is the 8th generation, we met the 9th and 10th generations too. Go here before this kind experience is lost forever.

Es un lugar curioso. Me alegro de haberlo conocido. Decadente.

Beautiful room and friendly hosts. We loved our stay there. The home cooked meals were delightful.

A fuir.
